Hi! I am Rebecca, a Certified Social Worker who enjoys working with people of all ages and from all walks of life. I strive to provide a safe, compassionate, judgment-free space for you to navigate the healing process. I will never tell you how to live your life. My job is to help you heal and grow so that you can be your best self and live your best life, whatever that looks like for you. We all need help and support at times to get through life’s challenges. I can’t imagine where I would be without the help I have received from others and the reminders that no matter where life takes us, change is possible.
I take a person-centered approach, which means tailoring therapy to the individual and their specific needs. I utilize a variety of treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Play Therapy and expressive therapy techniques. I have experience working with adults, adolescents, children, and families with a diverse range of issues such as depression, anxiety, attachment disorders, mood disorders, personality disorders, adjustment disorders, ADHD, and trauma.
A bit about me: I love all things outdoors. Less so when the humidity becomes unbearable, but if I can tolerate the heat I am outside. I love hiking, camping, and kayaking/canoeing with my children. I am an avid maker and enjoy any opportunity to flex my creativity, whether it is through painting, woodworking, jewelry making, you name it! Essentially this means I am good at making messes, but I have fun doing it. I can often be caught having an impromptu dance party in my kitchen while cooking dinner or doing the dishes.
