Masters Level Student

Serving the La Grange Location

Hi there, for the first time! I'm new to this, so if you are too, we're in the same boat. I'm Sam, and I'm a Master's Level student in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at the University of Louisville. After graduation, I intend to get my licensure as an LPCC, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor.

It has always been my life's biggest goal and dream to become a counselor, and this next step is so exciting! While I'm still learning, I draw on techniques from mostly Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). My primary interests lie in learning about mood disorders, eating disorders, and sexual assault, but I am open to a variety of clients from different backgrounds with different stories. At the end of the day, human connection is my passion.

Life can be hard, and I truly believe that is part of the human experience. No matter how hard things may get, I also believe that there is always hope. Letting me walk through your life's journey with you would be such a great honor.

A little bit about me: I absolutely love nature and am passionate about fitness, which makes hiking one of my favorite activities! Traveling and hiking is my paradise, like two years ago when I had the opportunity to go to Yosemite. Outside of those things, I'm probably cooking, watching a good movie, or eating Graeter's ice cream.
