Licensed Professional Counseling Associate serving 8009 New La Grange Rd Suite 4
Hi there! My name is Kayla and I’m a Licensed Professional Counseling Associate. I have experience working with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, grief, and crisis symptoms such as self-harming and suicidal ideation.
In my therapy sessions, I utilize a person-centered approach alongside interventions originating mostly from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). However, I can also incorporate interventions from other therapeutic techniques that will best serve you.
I believe one of the most important aspects of therapy is feeling connected, heard, and understood. With me, you can always expect a safe place where you can let your guard down and be yourself, but be prepared for there to be lots of laughter, self-reflection, and probably some tears. I want to be the one that walks alongside you on this journey and gets the privilege of encouraging and supporting you to show yourself kindness and let yourself feel all of the feelings every step of the way.
A bit about me: I am a pretty loud and bubbly person who loves laughter and good vibes. If I am on vacation then I am most definitely on a snowy mountain somewhere skiing my heart out while wearing a vintage grandpa sweater. My day to day life normally consists of some of my other hobbies like cycling, lifting, watching True Crime, doing crafts at home, cooking, and baking. Oh, I also have over 35 (and counting) plants in my apartment and yes, it does look like a jungle in here and I love it!
