Welcome! I’m Stephanie, a Licensed Professional Art Therapist (LPAT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), and Board Certified Registered Art Therapist (ATR-BC). 


I love, love, love being an Art Therapist. Art therapy is for all ages—it has the potential to awaken new realizations, relieve tension, identify new solutions and ways to cope, and gain new perspectives. Art therapy is unique because it goes beyond traditional talk therapy and encourages your inner voice, inner wisdom, and inner psyche to emerge through a variety of creative techniques. When it is difficult to put our thoughts and emotions into words, art therapy helps bypass these barriers. 


My goal is to be mindful and present, to be a guide and a support person, and to provide you with essential tools to assist you on your journey. My role is not to tell you what to do, but instead, my role is to help you gain the understanding you need to decide the path you will take. I provide a safe, non-judgmental, unconditional, accepting environment to promote trust and respect. This crucial foundation allows my clients to step out of their comfort zones to try new things, behold honest self reflections, face fears, and develop a deeper love and compassion for self. Therapy can help you to empower yourself, to recognize your potential, to awaken your own innate self healing processes, and gain direction for growth and wholeness.


My therapeutic orientation encompasses Jungian, Humanistic, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered and strength-based approaches and techniques. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), which strengthens my approach to therapy to help individuals overcome and heal from trauma.  

A bit about me: I am truly blessed, humbled, and honored to witness and be part of one’s intimate life journey; sharing pain, struggles, hardships, strengths, courage, progress, change, triumphs, and healing. I am a mother of one. I am not a perfect parent. I am human. I make mistakes but I grow from them. I stay busy maintaining a household while imperfectly balancing energy for self care, parenting, and my occupation. I need more yoga. My favorite appointment time is when I get to see my therapist. I love the ocean and a warm sunny day at the beach. I love collaging in my creative journal, reading, and listening to books on tape. I enjoy cooking and being outside planting flowers and gardening.
