Oreatha Hurt, LPCA

Hello, I’m Oreatha. (Oh-Read-The ) I was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and a Temporary Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor soon to be a Licensed Clinical Alcohol & Drug Counselor by the end of the year.

My goal as a therapist is to create a safe space where clients and I can reduce their mental suffering and develop new ways to live life to their fullest potential. I specialize in helping people who suffer from substance abuse/use (addictions) and criminal behavior. I also have worked with those who struggle with anxiety, depression, and various forms of trauma. By utilizing various modalities such as; CBT, DBT, MI, and person-centered therapy. I have experience working with individuals who are in inpatient settings, intensive outpatient settings, outpatient settings, criminal justice settings, virtually, and groups. 

I take great pride in the progress and success of my clients. I’m here to help you find yourself and realize your full potential. 

A bit about me: I’m a triplet and I have twin sisters. As well as an older brother and sister. In my free time outside of therapy, I like to workout, listen to music, and be around my family & friends. I love being outdoors around nature in the sun doing something active like running or walking; or simply just sitting outside on the porch.
