Hello! I’m Sarah and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and young adults. My specialties include anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief.
Life’s challenges are expressed in many different ways—grief and loss, life transitions, depression, anxiety, strained relationships, trauma—but there is hope for real change and growth to happen. Being human is difficult and messy sometimes, and enlisting the support of an objective person who can support you with unresolved issues, finding new ways of seeing, or being okay with reality as-is, can help.
I use a person-centered and strength-based approach when working with my clients. I use a variety of evidence-based therapy approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma-Focused CBT, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, and cognitive processing therapy.
A bit about me: I love working and spending time with people. I have been a therapist for almost ten years and I am continually learning new approaches and ways to support the individuals I work with. I enjoy crafting and creating art. I bring this love to my therapy work as well and love to use different expressive ways to explore issues in therapy. I love animals and I’m a fur mama to my dog and three kitties. I’m an avid video gamer and book reader, too!
